Remember - people who want a marriage or partnership have chosen a mate,
not a brooder or breeder ,(with rare exceptions - read more of our articles

So, if your dream is to be a single-parent -which is as rare as is a man who wants to be a parent - fine. Then adopt.
The movies, old mores, and the sentamentalism surrounding the idea of having children have brought misery and death to countless children around the world, and continues to do so.
The hounding of relatives who thrive on the old 'misery loves company' routine of forcing everyone to do what they've done- to make the same mistakes -are to be ignored and avoided.
Many parents of child-bearing-aged children begin to needle them about making grandchildren in order that they can continueto thwart and control the lives of their kids as they're just breaking free from the confines of being parented. These women don't want to face the emptiness, otherwise, of their wasted lives they've squandered on mothering.
Don't listen to these embittered and controlling women. Don't fall into that trap.
Often, the grandparents will reach across their own children and meddle into theirlives, preferring the grandchildren openly and continuing the dysfunctional
dynamic over generations - and this is the real reason they're hounding you
to breed !
The dictates of long generations concerning the chains of families and breeding
have gotten this world into the mess we're just now working to sort out.
Human overpopulation and rampant individual greed to the point of madness
and suicidalism is the condition of the world now.
The ancient imperatives to breed are still echoing in the minds of the unwary.
This outdated concept was born in the minds of small bands
of humans long ago who desperately needed more members of their troups in
order to survive.
It's long past time to shed these antique notions and to face the reality
of wall-to-wall faces of our own kinds who despite all, continue to think
insane thoughts and to do insane actions which continue to bring far too many
children into the world than the world can support - thus, thousands of babies
starving every day !

The time when breeding was heroic is long, long since gone by the wayside. And yet, to see the pregnant people parading around on the TV ads as if they had done something important and grand to create yet another life to burden the planet with - let's just face the facts -

Today the world needs less, not more, children. That's obvious. And, it's painfully obvious that those self-indulgent women who've borne children are very selfish, and don't care about the starving children already in the world.
Today, every day, thousands of children starve to death on our small planet.
Children who’ll never know the feeling of security, of a bull belly,
or warmpth or adequate clothing. Will never drink clean water or have their
needs tended to.
Stay Child-Free, and you will be doing the very best thing you could do for
our planet - and - have you thought about the quality of life the future will
bring for the children being born now? They will face the most horrendous
times our specie has ever known.
We at EcoMermaid would never want to do that to an innocent child.
And by being EcoChildFree, you are making space for unfortunate children who are already impoverished, malnourished, and would certainly die if even more
resources are deprived them.
By choosing not to have a child you are donating to dying, starving orphans
the space and resources they need to survive.
Be EcoChildFree, and if you feel you need to mother or father, then -
Adopt one, or several of them, or just support them from afar with the huge
amounts of money having your own child would cost.
And then find ways to contribute to our world.
And - if you want to keep your bellies flat and save the world at the same
time, stay off the ranks of the selfish ones who breed while countless orphans
are starving - you will not only save your looks, you might possibly save
your life ! And your marriage or partnership ! Also, if you want to stay a
youthful hot chick or dude, with freedom and disposable income, stay child-free.
Those pregnant and mothery celebs in the media, promoting rampant breeding
all have maids and trainers, anyway, and they work very,very hard to get back
in shape and will have to work that hard their whole lives just to stay in
shape. Pregnancy and nursing do things to your body which can never, ever
be undone.
Don’t be fooled by those Dr. 90210 shows that make it seem easy and
convenient to nip and tuck your body back in shape after childbirth.
First of all – it’s price-prohibitive for most women.
Second – it risks your life and is not worth the risk – especially
since you are now, if you’ve had a baby, needed very much for mothering
a helpless being and are now a mother, not a sex mate – that’s
your choice so own up to it and stop trying to be everything at once. It just
won’t work.
There are great risks even in in-office procedures. one is risk of infection.
MRSA – antibiotic-resistant bacteria, are rampant in health care facilities,
and would be very dangerous to bring home to a baby or child.
What price vanity ? Make your choices. Make them humane and compassionate.
No one – not all those celebrities pathetically trying to prove they
can be as hot as they were before childbirth –leaving their babies with
nannies, no doubt, can be everything. Respect your choices and accept that
there are responsibilities and gifts along with every choice in life. Read

Also – there are many mishaps in surgery, even if you get out germ-free
and alive.
Do you really think everything would work as well as before ? Be smart.
Realize that there are so many doctors and lawyers being churned out of schools every year that most are grubbing for jobs. They’re getting very creative with finding new earning niches, but really – don’t you think
being vegan and working out, taking care of yourself and your looks and health
in general, and really thinking hard about whether to have kids or not is
a better way to go ? And – if you do want kids, look first to adopt
a kid from a place where no one should want to place an innocent child –
there are millions who already need you.

Don’t you think we should require licensing not only for the privilege
of bearing children, but also of breeding helpless animals ?
There are far too many unwanted human babies and children, just as there are
other animals.
The only difference is – we put the other animals to death by the millions
while the human children are allowed to die slowly – starving to death
while the uncaring of the Western nations revel in baby showers and continue
to plague the world with human overpopulation.
Think about what you do, what your life means, the consequences of your selfish motives to have children. And understand that it is only the extremely selfish in our world today who would bear children in an already crowded world filled with starving children.
Consider what you do in life. Everything you do has consequences for others.
This is our motto – to think clearly and to make compassionate choices.
Even if some do actually really want to bear kids, - well -some also want to steal diamonds or to use heroin, or to eat pounds of chocolate - to have an urge is possibly hormonal and transient, but to act on a want which leads to a selfish end and one which harms others is simply cruel.
To have desires is ordinary but to use your mind ahead of time to stop instinct
and appetite from taking over decision-making is essential in order to lead
a fun and productive life.
The clearer your conscience, the better your life.
The more compassionate you are, the happier you are.
